Message from John Papworth

Just a word of gratitude for your contribution to the Radical Consultation event.
It produced a good number of sound working proposals and these, lay the ground for ongoing action.
They will be included in the report of the proceedings which I hope to send you shortly.

The Radical Hansard

Meanwhile, whilst things are still fresh in your mind, why not send me a short note of assessment of the event and any further proposals for action you feel we might adopt? A number of these would make for fascinating reading in the next issue of Fourth World Review. Incidentally, if your subscription for FWR is no longer up to date do repair the omission! We need all the help we can get to keep the show on the road.

I am sure you share my own sense of frustration that there was so little time for us to talk together. My own frustration was increased by the fact that there were so many people with whom I have had contact over many years, people whom I have been able to meet very rarely and with whom I wanted so much to engage in dialogue.

I found it enormously stimulating that the event attracted a number of keen, energetic and able young people, and also the way the question of the fate of the land featured so prominently.

I enclose some further material relating to the Radical Consultation from my friend Peter Etherden.

Here's hoping we keep in regular contact.
